Tyne & Esk Writers is a charitable organisation that exists to encourage and champion creative writing in Mid and East Lothian. For the first time in many years, work by members of Tyne and Esk’s eight writing groups has been brought together in this anthology, edited by poet and writer Claire Askew. Within these pages you will find stories of defeat and triumph, mystery and revelation; and poems in a variety of forms, both lyrical and narrative.

I am deeply impressed by the work of the Tyne and Esk Writers. They produce poems and stories that are honest, thought-provoking and always entertaining. There is rich talent here, and this is an anthology to be savoured.
