​Alan Fraser was born in Wick in 1947, gained a BSc in Chemistry and PhD in Crystallography from Edinburgh University and serving fifteen years in Colegio San Andres, Lima, Peru, a school founded by the Free Church of Scotland. Returning to Scotland he continued teaching in Secondary education. He maintained a lifelong interest in and respect for Scripture and scientific developments, with a growing longing to see apparent contradictions clarified.

This is a much needed little book. It is a succinct, clear and helpful contribution which shines light in a dark place; it brings clarity to an area which may be confusing for some but points one to an enhanced appreciation of the transcendent creator.
